Biocomposite Temporary Wound Dressing Light Adherence

Biobrane®-L is a biocomposite temporary wound dressing constructed of an ultrathin, semipermeable silicone film with a nylon fabric partially imbedded into the film. Biobrane®-L is a less complex nylon fabric for use when less aggressive adherence is required. The lower weight monofilament thread utilized in Biobrane®-L is chemically bound with porcine dermal collagen. This construction presents a shallow, less complex matrix to the wound bed, thereby reducing the degree of clot integration and adherence.

Biobrane®-L is suggested for use on meshed autografts.

If in the rare instance a patient shows evidence of an allergic reaction to the product, it should be removed and its use discontinued.
